AUTHOR
Since graduating from Musical Theatre from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in the 1990s, Nicole has performed for many years across Australia and Asia in the Theatre, Film and TV industries as a professional actor, vocalist and director. In W.A. she directed and music directed repeatedly for Vogue Entertainment, Spirit Productions and TV Network 7, as well as for other production companies. More recently Nicole spent four years as the Artistic Director of the short play festival Short+Sweet Singapore and was the inaugural Director of Short+Sweet Malaysia. In education, Nicole has taught Drama in universities and schools, as well as Music Theatre, Acting and Voice to professional performers for 20 years. She majored in Drama and Music Education for her Graduate Diploma, holds a BA in Theatre and a Certificate in Classical Music, as well as an MBA in Performing Arts. She was on the Reference Group for the original Drama Course of Study, assisted the Curriculum Council with subsequent drafts and support material, and delivered professional development to teachers on those courses. Nicole was on the executive committee of DramaWest for five years, contributing regularly to their publications including writing for Good Answers. Nicole now travels across Asia-Pacific freelancing as a Director, Playwright, Performer and Teacher.
