Welcome to Senior Drama! Keeping a Drama Logbook is a mandatory course requirement which will assist your development of skills, understanding and knowledge in this exciting performing art.

This logbook has been organized for you into the three content areas to be studied in the Preliminary HSC Course. Whilst they are organized into three seemingly separate topic areas, you need to be aware that in fact all these areas are indeed connected. Your class teacher may choose to program lessons in such a way that you learn about two or three of the content areas in conjunction. You will therefore not necessarily complete one section of this logbook fully before moving on to the next topic.

It is essential that you use your logbook to record, recount, reflect on and evaluate the practical and research work that you do in this course.

You should use your logbook to:

briefly recount what was done
reflect on what you have learnt
evaluate your practical work and that of others in your class
record research relevant to the three content areas
record essential terms/vocabulary and their meanings
plan performance work
write drafts of scripts
