Title: Reborning
Author: Dohrn, Zayd
Price: $21.95

Art and life become disturbingly interchangeable when a sculptor of baby dolls meets a woman desperate to recreate the past. This dark comedy takes an unsettling look at work, latex, and the power of creation.

\"A comic setup that spins into deeply affecting territory. Dohrns compact script bristles with sharp, breezy dialogue... The shifting balances between humor, suspense, and trauma keep the experience tight.\" - Robert Hurwitt, San Francisco Chronicle

\"Reborning bandies between levity and loss without missing a beat... just the right balance of rawness and finesse... Reborning proves that grim topics and taboos can also be damn funny.\" - Anna Pulley, SF Weekly

\"Dohrn's script skillfully combines humor and pathos to ensure that the audience is engaged and thinking throughout.... Zayd Dohrn is a playwright to watch.\" - Charles Kruger, Bay Area Examiner

\"A major triumph... A taut thriller that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. You dont want to miss it.\" - George Heymont, Eagle News
Reborning was first produced in a workshop production, directed by Kip Fagan, in the 2009 Summer Play Festival at The Public Theater in New York City. The play received its world premiere in 2011 at The SF Playhouse in San Francisco, California, directed by Josh Costello.
