SYNOPSIS
A decade after the infamous inquiry into the corruption that tore Queensland apart, George Verney is still caught up in the nightmare. He is a disgraced journalist and bit-player with a scandalous past. Following ten years of self-imposed exile, a graphic murder forces his reluctant return to Brisbane. In a town that has forgotten him, George must seek out the truth before it is too late for partners of old. In this dangerously dark play, George must confront his past to find a way to let the dead rest in peace. Adapted from the thrilling crime novel of the same title by Andrew McGahan, Last Drinks offers a dramatic insight into Brisbanes very own underbelly of the 1980s.

Last Drinks was commissioned and then first produced by La Boite Theatre Company at the Roundhouse Theatre in 2006.

SYNOPSIS
Its a dangerous world. Streets are becoming combat-zones peopled by psychopaths, armed robbers and decapitators. As sirens wail outside, people are searching for their own form of salvation. For Tom, its the curiously olde-worlde vision of his Guardian Angel, for Louis the suicidal quest for any drug to obliterate consciousness, and for siblings Craig and Hannie, its the memory of a childhood moment when, through the keyhole, they witnessed the uncanny spectacle of something that resembled true love. An iconic Brisbane grunge play about the final days of the world, and finding meaning and comfort when the beat of a human heart can seem a latter-day miracle.
PRODUCTION HISTORY
The first performance of Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris was produced by La Boite Theatre Company in September, 1999. It has since been produced by Parnassus Den at La Mamas Courthouse Theatre in 2008 after winning a 2006 Mitch Mathews Award and the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2010.
